For a fee of $89.00 and in less time than
it takes to groom your pet, you can finalize your Peace of Mind
Trust and know the feeling of being a "Superior Pet Parent!"
1) A statutory pet trust, crafted under state
statutes based upon the Uniform Probate Code (UPC), the Uniform
Trust Code (UTC), or possibly, language adopted in other states
that developed their own statutory language using the UPC or
the UTC as examples. A list of State statutory references, which
are the specific State law authority for establishing a pet
trust, is available here
and also on our "Links" page.
2) For residents of U.S. States or Territories
that have not adopted a specific pet trust statute, a traditional
revocable living pet trust format whereby you are the grantor
or settlor, (or in plain English, the person who creates the
trust.) You will name a trustee who will be responsible for
taking care of the money you put into the trust for your pets'
care and making disbursements to a person you name as the caregiver
of your beloved pet to be administered if you become incapacitated,
or in the event of your death.
3) A checklist is included for both the traditional
revocable living trust and the statutory pet trust.
4) A Peace of Mind Durable Power of Attorney for
pets.
