OUR TEAM:
Peter B. Canalia
Mr. Canalia has practiced law in the Greater Chicago area for
the last thirty (30) years, concentrating in the area of Estate
Planning and Real Estate Law. Mr. Canalia is a member of the American
Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association, and the Lansing
Bar Association. Mr. Canalia has served as a Commissioner for
the Will County Illinois Regional Planning Commission and the
Zoning Board of Appeals for ten (10) years. Mr. Canalia was appointed
by President Bush as a local member of the Selective Service Board
154 in 1991. Currently, Mr. Canalia is an active volunteer spokesperson
at community fuctions and area seminars on Estate Planning including
wills and trusts. The preparation of will, trusts, and estate
plans for married couples, single parents and senior citizens
constitutes ninety percent (90%) of his practice. As such, he
often asks the question "... what will happen to your pets
when you die or if you become incapacitated?" All too often,
people do not know how to respond. He has found that most people
do not want to spend $250 or more per hour to provide for their
pets. This is why he created Peace of Mind Pet Trust, Inc.
to help individuals quickly and affordably plan for their pet's
care. All of the forms have been developed by experienced attorneys
in the estate planning area.
